Snow Plowing and Deicing
When snow falls, our team gets to work! To clear roads of snow as efficiently as possible, the Town has divided our street network into three priority levels:
- Priority 1 – Primary Arterial Streets (Harmony Road & Main Street)
- Priority 2 – Remaining Arterial Streets & select Collector Streets (ie. Three Bell Pkwy, Latham Pkwy)
- Priority 3 – Remaining select Collector Streets (i.e. Summerfields Pkwy, Club Dr.)
We tackle Priority 1 roads first, then 2 and 3. As is common practice in jurisdictions in Northern Colorado, the Town does not typically plow local streets in residential areas.
Our Snow Plow Fleet
The Town has nine snow removal vehicles in our fleet. Over the past several years, we’ve consistently added plows to improve our ability to clear snow as quickly as possible.
The Town owns four traditional snow plows and the rest are light-duty snow removal vehicles.
