Timnath Community Park

Something for Everyone!

Timnath Community Park is located south of Bethke Elementary School off of Summerfields Parkway.  The park is approximately 20 acres in size.  It is bordered on the north by the Great Western Railroad tracks and on the west by Summerfields Parkway.

Overview

Address: 5500 Summerfields Pkwy.

Hours: Dawn until Dusk

Restrooms: The west restroom building is open year-round. The east restroom building is open seasonally and weather dependent.

Dog Park: Our local dog park is located at the east end of the Timnath Community Park. It’s a fun place for the entire family, Fido included. Dog park trips offer dog parents and their pets a great opportunity to socialize and run off some pent-up energy, but with all that fun comes responsibility.  Please see below for park guidelines.

Master Plan

The Timnath Community Park was planned in three phases. We’ve already completed the first two, and have started planning for Phase 3.

Phase 1: Phase 1 was officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 12th, 2016. Amenities include amphitheater, multi-age play equipment, climbing boulder, swings, restrooms, picnic shelter, marketplace plaza, and parking.

Phase 2: Phase 2 grew Timnath Community Park by doubling the footprint. Features of the second phase include a dog park, adventure playground, additional picnic areas, arbor garden, additional restrooms, and connecting trails.

Future Plans: Phase 3 is in the planning stages – information will be shared as it becomes available. Ideas being considered include tennis courts, basketball courts, pickleball courts, splash pad water feature, and more!
