Timnath Community Park is located south of Bethke Elementary School off of Summerfields Parkway. The park is approximately 20 acres in size. It is bordered on the north by the Great Western Railroad tracks and on the west by Summerfields Parkway.
Address: 5500 Summerfields Pkwy.
Hours: Dawn until Dusk
Restrooms: The west restroom building is open year-round. The east restroom building is open seasonally and weather dependent.
Dog Park: Our local dog park is located at the east end of the Timnath Community Park. It’s a fun place for the entire family, Fido included. Dog park trips offer dog parents and their pets a great opportunity to socialize and run off some pent-up energy, but with all that fun comes responsibility. Please see below for park guidelines.
The Timnath Community Park was planned in three phases. We’ve already completed the first two, and Phase 3 began Winter of 2023.
Phase 1: Phase 1 was officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 12th, 2016. Amenities include amphitheater, multi-age play equipment, climbing boulder, swings, restrooms, picnic shelter, marketplace plaza, and parking.
Phase 2: Phase 2 grew Timnath Community Park by doubling the footprint. Features of the second phase include a dog park, adventure playground, additional picnic areas, arbor garden, additional restrooms, and connecting trails.
Phase 3: Phase 3 of the Timnath Community Park began this Winter. Phase 3 of the park, which is located near the entrance, will include 6 pickleball courts, 2 tennis courts, a basketball court, and a splash pad. These amenities will not be lighted but will bring additional active areas to the park.
Completion of the pickleball, tennis and basketball courts are anticipated to be in early August. At this time we are still working on completion dates for the splash pad and pavilion. See the plan,
