The Town of Timnath invites you to donate or dispose of those items in your home, garage, or shed that you need to get rid of on Saturday, May 3 and Saturday, October 18, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Timnath Community Park. This event will offer the services listed below for residents to utilize on a first-come, first-served basis until filled. This event includes:

  • Trash dumpsters
  • Cardboard and metal recycling
  • Mattress recycling (for a fee)
  • Goodwill donations
  • Shredding (Spring only)
  • Wood chipping (Spring only)
  • Electronic recycling (Fall only) (for a fee)

This event is open to Timnath residents only. Please bring proof of residency.

Prohibited Trash Items

  • Electronics such as TVs, computers, printers, scanners and fax machines, stereo equipment, VCRs, DVD players, video cameras, telephones, video game consoles, etc. (Recycle only – see below)

Metal & Cardbaord Recycling

Cardboard and metal recycling will be available on site, on a first-come, first-served basis. Cardboard must be broken down and free of any additional debris, such as styrofoam or plastic bags.

A list of qualifying metal items can be found below. Household appliances such as washers, dryers, water heaters, toaster ovens, and microwaves are acceptable.  Appliances with refrigerants such as refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioning units of any kind are prohibited.

Mattress Recycling

Spring Back Colorado mattress recycling will also be on-site, accepting mattresses for $30 per mattress or boxspring. Due to the potential chance of rain, please cover your mattresses so that when you arrive, they are not wet. Wet mattresses will not be accepted. Please note, mattress recycling is available on a first-come, first-served basis and will only be allowed to be recycled. You will not be able to put mattresses or box springs in the dumpsters.

Electronic Recycling (Fall Only)

Donations

Goodwill will be accepting donations of gently used furniture, clothing, costumes, jewelry, housewares, sporting goods, office supplies, records, toys, books, and more!

Wood Chipping (Spring Only)

A complimentary wood chipper will be available on-site during the event or you can schedule the truck to come to your house by reservation. Branches and limbs only without rocks or dirt must be placed on your curb by sundown on the Friday prior to the event.

No nails, dirt, treated wood, or debris will be accepted. Only limbs and branches up to 18 inches in diameter will be accepted.
