Timnath Establishes Old Town Steering Committee – Applications Open!

Timnath Town Council has officially established an Old Town Steering Committee. This initiative aims to drive the revitalization of Old Town Timnath and align with the Town’s Comprehensive Plan goals, including enhancing Old Town’s character, boosting its economic vitality, and linking it with other community hubs.

Who Should Apply:

The Town is calling for passionate and community-minded individuals to apply for the Old Town Steering Committee.

We are seeking the following members:

• Timnath Citizens Academy Representatives: One current or graduating member.
• Old Town Representatives: Two members who are either downtown area residents or representatives of local businesses or organizations.
• At-large Members: Three Timnath residents with a vested interest in the success and development of Old Town.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of Old Town Timnath and contribute to important discussions regarding local development, participation in Main Street programs, and more. Committee members will meet regularly to make recommendations to the Town Council and play a direct role in advancing the community’s goals.

If you are interested in being part of the Old Town Steering Committee, please submit your application via email to Town Clerk Milissa Peters at [email protected] or in person by dropping your application off at Town Center with the Town Clerk’s office. Applications will be accepted for a minimum of 10 days and open until the openings are filled. Appointments will be made by the standing members of the Committee based on a majority vote.
