Timnath Earns Prestigious Award for Financial Reporting

We are thrilled to announce that the Town of Timnath has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for our 2023 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR). This marks the first time Timnath has achieved this prestigious honor, and we couldn’t be prouder of this significant milestone.

This certificate of achievement award is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting. It reflects our commitment to transparency, accuracy, and excellence in financial management. An impartial panel judges the ACFR to ensure that the report meets the program’s highest standards, including qualifications and effectively communicating Timnath’s financial story. This document offers our residents a transparent look into the financial statements produced by the Town of Timnath.

The Government Finance Officers Association is a major professional association that serves the needs of its more than 21,000 members, who are appointed and elected by local and state government officials and other finance practitioners.
