Planning Commissioner Seat Vacancy

The Town of Timnath is seeking a pool of applicants to fill a vacant term on the Planning Commission. Commissioners are appointed by Town Council, and prior experience is not required.

The Commission is responsible for reviewing and then making a recommendation to the Town Council on residential and commercial development proposals as well as re-zonings, annexations, long-term planning processes, and most land use requests. The work—for which training is provided—requires an unbiased assessment of the development proposals relative to the provisions of the Town’s land use code and legal rights of property owners. Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6 p.m. Applicants must live within the corporate limits of Timnath, be a qualified elector, provide a current resume, and consent to a reference check if requested.
