Pedestrian Crossing Treatment Guidelines

Providing safe and comfortable mobility for pedestrians is an important goal for the Town of Timnath. Treatments that help pedestrians cross roads are among the most frequent requests that the Town receives. There has been significant research in the evaluation of locations for potential crossing treatments. The Town is in the process of utilizing national best practices to develop its own set of guidelines that will guide the review and decisions related to where and what type of treatments should be installed. The work will be done in the fall of 2024, with a completed policy around pedestrian crossing slated for implementation in early 2025.
