Pedestrian Crossing Treatment

The Town of Timnath is committed to enhancing pedestrian safety and accessibility through well-planned crossing treatments. The Pedestrian Crossing Treatment Guidelines (PCTG) have been established to provide standardized procedures for the installation and maintenance of pedestrian crossings. These guidelines help determine when and where crossing treatments are necessary and recommend appropriate treatment types based on location-specific factors.

Residents, neighborhood associations, schools, and community groups are encouraged to submit a crossing request form if they believe a new pedestrian crossing or an improvement to an existing crossing is needed. Submissions will be evaluated based on traffic volume, pedestrian activity, safety considerations, and engineering judgment.
