Traffic in neighborhoods can affect the quality of life for residents, bicyclists, pedestrians, as well as drivers. Throughout Timnath, there is an interest in reducing traffic speeds in neighborhoods. For this reason, the Town is developing a Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program (NTCP). The program will explore a variety of tools to calm traffic such as education, engineering/infrastructure, and enforcement with the goal of calmer, safer streets. Details on the program’s toolbox, street eligibility, prioritization, and the process to develop consensus within a neighborhood will be developed during the fall of 2024.
