Timnath Takes Early Steps to Improve Old Town Traffic and Access
October 28, 2025
As part of the Town’s ongoing effort to enhance traffic flow and safety in Old Town, Timnath is moving forward with new signage and planning initiatives to support residents and local businesses.
In the coming weeks, the Town will install large green directional signs on Timnath Parkway at 4th Street and 2nd Street, guiding drivers toward “Old Town Businesses.” These signs are an early action item for the Old Town Transportation Operations Plan, which seeks to make Old Town easier to navigate while supporting the area’s economic vitality.
The Town is also inviting the community to get involved in shaping the future of Old Town’s transportation network. Residents are encouraged to attend an upcoming Old Town Transportation Operations Plan Open House:
Wednesday, November 19
4:30–6:30 p.m. (drop-in)
Timnath Town Hall – Council Chambers
At the open house, attendees can:
- Learn about the Town’s efforts to create a Transportation Operations Plan for the Old Town area of Main Street and Timnath Parkway.
- Review short-term safety updates planned for the next few months, including signage and crosswalk improvements.
- Weigh in on long-term priorities such as intersection evaluations and potential locations for future enhancements.
- View and comment on aesthetic concepts for the upcoming Main Street/Buss Grove Roundabout Project.
Community feedback will be key in shaping both near-term updates and long-term investments in Old Town’s transportation system.
