Snow Reminders: Preparing for Winter Weather
December 12, 2025
As winter settles in across Timnath, it’s important that we all take a few simple steps to stay safe and prepared during snowy conditions. Our community thrives when neighbors look out for one another, and these reminders will help keep everyone moving safely through the season.
Sidewalk Safety
Keeping sidewalks clear is one of the most important ways we can protect each other. Town code requires sidewalks to be cleared within 24 hours of snowfall. A clear path helps prevent icy slip‑ups and ensures safe passage for pedestrians of all ages.
Traveling with Care
Snow‑packed or slick roads can make driving hazardous, and visibility often changes quickly during storms. If you’re traveling, please drive cautiously and carry winter essentials such as an extra blanket, food, and water in case of car trouble.
Snow Crew Priorities
Our dedicated snow crew works hard to keep roads safe and passable. Routes are prioritized to ensure the most critical areas are cleared first:
- Priority 1: Primary arterial streets, such as Harmony Road and Main Street
- Priority 2: Remaining arterials and select collector streets
- Priority 3: Remaining selected collector streets
You can view the full snow priority map and learn more about the Town’s snow operations at timnath.org/Snow.
