Current Results Show Measure 3A Passes, Paving Way for New Timnath Recreation Center
November 6, 2025
Current results from the 2025 election indicate that voters in Timnath have approved ballot measure 3A. The measure will increase the local sales and use tax by 1.25% or 1.25 cents per dollar beginning Jan. 1, 2026 for a new recreation center.
The design phase for the new recreation center is scheduled to take place throughout 2026. The facility will be located adjacent to Timnath Pkwy. and 4th Ave. and is expected to span approximately 109,000 square feet.
Planned amenities, based on community feedback during the Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Trails (PROST) Master Plan, include a cardio and weight room, walking and jogging track, multi-use gymnasium, indoor aquatics area, event hall with commercial kitchen and outdoor gathering spaces. “We are excited to keep building momentum to support recreation in Timnath,” said Parks and Recreation Director Tom Casal. “This facility will be another step toward creating an inclusive space that reflects the heart of our growing community.”
