The Department of Local Affairs’ (DOLA) Colorado Main Street Program (COMS) is proud to welcome the Town of Timnath(opens in new window) as a new designated Colorado Main Street. The Town joins 31 other Colorado communities and over 1,300 communities nationwide participating in the Main Street program, which supports community-led downtown revitalization through technical assistance, funding, and other resources.
The Town of Timnath joined the Colorado Main Street program to preserve its authenticity while building a vibrant, lively, and distinct downtown that reflects the heart of the people who call it home.
“Each Main Street community offers a unique mix of history, culture, small-town atmosphere, and outdoor recreation. We are proud to welcome the Town of Timnath into the program to support them in their economic development efforts as they embrace, enhance, and preserve the elements that make their community so special,” said Colorado Main Street Program Manager Gayle Langley.
“What I love most about our downtown is that it’s lived in, imperfect, and full of character, more like your grandma’s quilt than something polished and picture-perfect,” says Katie Gibson, Timnath Main Street Board Chair.
