Timnath Police moving to 24/7 staffing starting July 1
June 25, 2024
Beginning July 1, the Timnath Police Department will implement 24/7 staffing to enhance the safety and security of Timnath residents. The Town will maintain its partnership with the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office for dispatch support.
“The establishment of an overnight team has been a key objective for the Town of Timnath and hinged on our ability to successfully staff additional officers,” said Terry Jones, Timnath Chief of Police. “Securing sufficient personnel was crucial for us to deliver the high-quality service our community deserves. I deeply appreciate the council’s steadfast support in helping us build our team to meet this objective.”
In the 2018 Citizen Survey, public safety was identified as a priority. Residents expressed the need to expand the police force for 24-hour coverage, and we have worked towards this goal diligently.
“The safety and well-being of our community is paramount,” said Mayor Robert Axmacher. “By implementing 24/7 police coverage, we are taking yet another significant step forward in ensuring that Timnath remains one of the safest places in Northern Colorado.”
