4th of July Celebration

Celebrate the stars and stripes with Timnath!

Join us to celebrate Independence Day at Timnath’s 4th of July Celebration on Friday, July 4, 2025 at the Timnath Reservoir! Don’t miss live entertainment, a variety of family activities, and delicious eats from local food trucks. Festivities will kick off at 6 p.m. with live music. The night will end with a spectacular pyro-musical fireworks show over the reservoir, beginning at 9:30 p.m.

Modifications to Boating & Reservoir Hours – 2025

Due to the festivities, boating and reservoir hours at the Timnath Reservoir on July 4th will be limited. Please see the modifications to the hours below.

  • Non-motorized reservoir use, including swimming: Open from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • Motorized and trailered non-motorized reservoir use: Open from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
    • Please pull your boat into the dock and off of the water by 4:00 pm. The boat trailer parking lot will close at 4pm.
  • Reservoir Pass Holder Parking Lot: Open from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
    • After 4:30 pm, all vehicles must be moved to the event parking areas and out of the reservoir pass holder parking lot. The green space by the reservoir and the event space are closed from 4pm to 5:30pm. Anyone who moves their vehicles to the event parking must remain by their vehicle until 5:30pm.
  • Walking Path to the east of the event area: Closed from 5:00 pm on 7/4 to dawn on 7/5

To be notified of any delays, weather emergencies, or cancellations, please sign up for our emergency texting service by texting “TIMNATHEVENT” to 888-777. Please note that we will only utilize this for emergencies.

  • What time do the parking lots open?
    • Parking lots open at 5:30pm!
  • Do I need a Timnath Reservoir Permit to attend this event?
    • No – you only need a Reservoir Permit if you’d like to utilize the Reservoir (on the water or the shore) before 4pm on the 4th of July.
  • Is there any cost to attend?
    • No! The kids’ activities, live music, and fireworks are free. Food can be purchased from our many food trucks!
  • Are there restrooms at the reservoir?
    • Yes, there will be four different areas in the main event space with port-o-lets, as well as additional port-o-lets through the parking lots.
  • Will drinking water be available at the event?
    • Food trucks will have water available for purchase. Coolers with non-alcoholic beverages are allowed at the event, so please bring your own water.
