As part of the Town of Timnath Annual Roadway Maintenance Program, crews will be applying a seal-coat to roads in the Wildwing and Timnath Ranch subdivisions, beginning June 14.

Work in Wildwing will take place June 14-18. The two major access roads, Wildwing Drive and the entrance portion of Wildshore Drive will be completed on separate days by closing each road from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. The remainder of Wildshore Drive, Majestic View Drive, and Chandra Street will be completed by only sealing one side at a time with traffic control during the day and opened to two-way traffic overnight. All the other local roadways will be closed to vehicular traffic while the sealing is underway. All on-street vehicles will need to be moved. Residents can park on adjacent nearby streets and/or on the opposite side of the street and will be able to walk to and from their homes at any time during the 24-hour closure. We apologize for the inconvenience. It should be limited to a one- to 24 hour period for any individual homeowner.

Work in Timnath Ranch will take place June 21-25. The two major access roads, Club Drive and Summerfield Parkway will be completed by only sealing one side at a time with traffic control during the day and opened to two-way traffic overnight. The western and southern stretches of School House Drive will be closed on separate days for 24 hours while the eastern portion will remain open.

While any given street is closed, it is imperative that residents, visitors, delivery personnel, etc., do not ignore the road closure signs. The sealant is a very tacky black material that will stick to tires and track up onto concrete driveways if it has not had time to properly cure. The town will work with your trash collection agencies to pick up your trash the following day if your road is closed on the regular pick-up day. Police or emergency vehicles will have access to the neighborhoods as needed.

This activity has been performed in other town subdivisions over the last two summers. Those projects went very well and we learned a few things to make this project happen with the least amount of inconvenience. The contractor hired by the town to provide this service (APEX Pavement Solutions) is very experienced at doing this work and is very responsive to questions and concerns while the project is underway. Likewise, the Town Engineer (TST Inc., Consulting Engineers) will be involved on a daily basis. If you have any immediate concerns, please feel free to contact Steve Humann, Town Engineering, at [email protected] or 970-488-2124
