January 31, 2019 – Timnath Police Department hosted their first “Coffee With a Cop” event Thursday, January 31, at the local Starbucks Coffee.  Police Chief, Sherri Wagner was accompanied by officers Andrew Tope and Robert Wynkoop as well as Police Tech Heather Erbes. The hour and a half event seemed to fly by quickly as the four Police representatives talked with more than fifteen Timnath residents and a handful of other Starbucks patrons from nearby areas.

“For our first Coffee With a Cop event, I felt it was a success,” said Chief Wagner. “Being in a casual setting with members of the community gives us an opportunity interact, answer questions and get to know each other better. The feedback was good, so we will definitely look at doing more of these events in the future.”

Residents also seemed to enjoy the opportunity to get better acquainted with their neighbors and took the opportunity to talk among themselves about all things Timnath.

The goal of Coffee with a Cop is to bring local police officers and members from the community they serve together – over coffee – to discuss issues, voice concerns, ask questions and get to know each other. To keep up on events like these be sure to subscribe to notifications from the Town of Timnath.
