Have you completed the 2020 Census? For anyone who “hasn’t gotten around to it,” expect to get a visit from a Census taker this month. Census field workers will begin visiting households starting the week of Aug. 11. It’s not too late to take the survey online, by phone or by mail. Self-responses help save taxpayer dollars.
Census takers will wear masks and follow local public health guidelines when they visit your home. All Census takers complete a virtual COVID-19 training on social distancing and other health and safety protocols before beginning their work in neighborhoods.
Census takers are hired from the area, and their goal is to help you and everyone in your home be counted in the 2020 Census. If no one is home when the Census taker visits, the Census taker will leave a notice of their visit with information about how to respond online, by phone or by mail.
As of the end of July, our local self-response rates are:
- Colorado 66.1%
- Timnath 69.3%
- Larimer County 67.3%
A good count for Colorado will lead to fair representation in Congress. A good count for Larimer County will help with federal funding allocation for public safety, healthcare, family services, schools, our great outdoors and much more.
Your response matters and will impact our community for the next 10 years. Be a part of history and help our future! Visit 2020census.gov or call 844-330-2020 to get started.
