For the safety of our Timnath community, we ask that residents limit their in-person business at the Town Center. The Town of Timnath offers convenient options for conducting business online or over the phone.

Public Visits to Town Center

To ensure the safety and health of our Town staff and Timnath’s residents, if you plan to visit the Town Center, please expect the following:

  • Call ahead to make an appointment, if possible, by dialing 970-224-3211.
  • Wear a face mask.
  • Town staff will limit the number of individuals within our building at the same time, so you may be asked to wait outside.
  • To help keep our employees safe, we have installed plexiglass to shield our front office staff and the public.

At this time, we have canceled all community room reservations. We are continuing to monitor state guidelines and will alert the community if and when this policy changes and reservations will be accepted again.

Building Permits and Licenses

If you have questions or concerns, the building department is available by phone at 970-224-3211 and/or email at buildings@timnathgov.com. Find most of our building forms online on our building webpage. All building permit applications are able to be processed remotely. If there is a need to visit the building department, please call to schedule an appointment or to receive instructions related to your permit.

The Town’s building inspector (SAFEbuilt) is now allowing occupied homes to do video inspections. Call 970-686-7511 or email windsor@safebuilt.com with your inspection request and a SAFEbuilt representative will contact you with the paperwork necessary to proceed.

Community Development

Most community development department related items can be found on our community development webpage. Here you can view the status of current development projects, review the Town’s Comprehensive Plan, view the Land Use Code and reference other planning documents. There is also a location for submitting an application to the Town. Please call 970-224-3211 to speak to someone in the department and to discuss your project prior to making a submittal.

Paying Sales Tax

The Town of Timnath requires that all businesses create an account in MUNIRevs and pay bills online. Create your account online.

Municipal Court

Due to the small docket size, our Municipal Court proceedings will continue to be held in person with a number of precautions in place in alignment with the CDC and local guidelines. These guidelines include: masks and hand sanitizer available on-site, mask requirements, strict social distancing procedures and pre-arraignment video conferencing for new arraignments.

If you have COVID concerns, please reach out to our Deputy Court Clerk by phone at 970-224-3211 or email at tsattler@timnathgov.com.

Payment of Fines/Fees

All fines/fees can be paid online or by phone by calling 970-224-3211. You may also pay by mail by mailing payment to: Timnath Municipal Court Clerk, 4750 Signal Tree Dr. Timnath CO 80547. If you are paying by mail, allow a window of 10 business days between when you mail payment and your listed court date.

Town Park Procedures

At this time, the Town’s parks will remain open to the public. Please continue to practice social distancing while using these open spaces.

One of the gems of our community is the Timnath Town Park. Town staff recognizes that this space offers our residents a place to play, but we want to ensure the safety and health of all those who use this space. For this reason, the following measures have been put in place:

  • Please maintain at least 6 feet of separation between individuals from differing households.
  • The western restroom building is open for public use, however, please wait until the restroom is clear before entering and limit use to those in your household.
  • Due to the changing season the eastern restroom building will be closed until spring.
