Beginning June 1, the Poudre Valley Fire Protection District will begin collecting a Fire Impact Fee from developers and individual home builders to help the fire department pay for the costs of building new fire stations. As Timnath and other communities within the District continue to grow, new stations and capital facilities are needed to serve new development. The fee will be collected when a building permit is filed and will be based on the size and impact of the project. Fees are used for capital costs only, not operational costs.
