No Solicitation “Opt-Out” List Registration Form

  • Any information you enter on this form will not be saved if you begin and return later.

According to the Timnath Door-To-Door Solicitation Ordinance (the “Ordinance”), commercial solicitors must register with the Town and be issued a permit before they are allowed to solicit door-to-door within the Town Limits of Timnath. Below are some highlights of the Ordinance as it relates to companies or individuals that wish to solicit at residences within the Town Limits of Timnath:
    • A permit is required for commercial solicitation of any kind.
    • Commercial solicitation shall only be allowed between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
    • Residents can complete a simple “opt-out” form to be added to the “do not solicit” list maintained by the Town and provided to commercial solicitors during the permitting process.
    • Each solicitor must go through a registration and a background check process.
    • Qualifying commercial solicitors must wear a Town-issued badge which must be worn at all times when soliciting in Timnath.
    • Solicitation of any kind (commercial, or non-commercial) is prohibited where a sign stating that soliciting or trespassing is not allowed. These signs can be obtained and placed on your front door.
    • There are substantial fines for solicitors who do not comply with the Ordinance.

In order to become familiar with all of the requirements for solicitation in your neighborhood and to help us enforce the Ordinance, we encourage all residents to read the complete ordinance at: www.timnath.org/DoorToDoor. Please report any companies or individuals that are not complying by calling the Town at 970-224-3211.

If you do not want door-to-door commercial solicitors at your residence, please complete the information below. Remember this form does not apply to non-commercial solicitors such as non-profit groups who may continue to solicit at your residence. If you wish to prohibit all solicitation at your residence, you may post a “No Solicitation” or “No Trespassing” sign at your residence to prevent both commercial and non-commercial solicitation.
